I went to the Chicago Jazz Festival a while back and saw some excellent jazz for free. When it comes to getting around, the CTA is the way to go, unless you happen to know where to find free parking and aren't driving during the perpetual rush hour. Of course if you are coming from the suburbs than you would need the Metra or Pace Bus. Something new I discovered coming back from winter break. Car eating potholes on the Dan Ryan.
