TIMESHEET INFORMATIONGeneral Information:Time sheets are used by the University (IIT) to record time worked or paid time off (i.e. sick, vacation, personal) for full time staff and part time workers and hourly paid students. After employees have been paid the first time, time sheets are automatically system generated. Newly hired employees must complete a blank time sheet to record time worked until the system generated time sheet is received. A blank time sheet is located under the Payroll Forms section of the Payroll website under the Controller's Office. If a blank time sheet is used, please fill in your complete name and social security number, your work department and the time period being paid in the appropriate area on the time sheet. In order to meet the timesheet submission deadline, remote IIT locations (Rice & Moffett Campuses) can fax their timesheets to Payroll on (312) 567-3420. PLEASE NOTE: Late time sheets will be processed the following pay cycle. All time sheets must contain the employee's signature AND the ORIGINAL signature of the approver of the time sheet. Unsigned time sheets will be returned to the department. Signature stamps are never to be used to approve time sheets. Any alteration to time originally recorded on a time sheet (scratch outs and white outs), must be initialed and dated by the approver of the time sheet.
