THIS GUIDELINE IS VALID FOR THE 2004 - 2007 ACADEMIC BULLETIN AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

1. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.
   
   
   1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.
      
      
   2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: COM 102; HIS 101, 102, 105, 201, 202, 250, 251; HUM 101, 102, 104, 115; LIT 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226; or PHI 101, 115, 120, 125, 225, 226.
      
      
   3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANT 201, 202, 205, 210; ECO 101, 102, 250; GEO 101, 102, 201; PSC 103, 110, 115, 210, 212, 215, 225; PSY 101, 104, 105, 106, 201, 202, 205, 210, 211, 215, 220; SOC 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, 204, 210; or SSC 100, 101, 102.
      
      
   4. CIVIL ENGINEERING ONLY - Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ART 110, 205, 206, 207, 208, 209; COM 120; HIS 204, 207, 210, 211, 215, 220, 230, 254; HUM 249, 251; LIT 205, 280; MUS 106, 107; PHI 111; or THE 107, 110.
      
      
2. EQUIVALENCIES - Following is a list of courses that will transfer into the Architectural or Civil Engineering programs at IIT and their direct equivalents at Moraine Valley Community College:
   

Note 1. EGN 150 at Moraine Valley Community College is equivalent to CAE 100 and 101 at IIT.
