THIS GUIDELINE IS VALID FOR THE 2004 - 2007 ACADEMIC BULLETIN AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

  1. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.

    1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course.

    2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: ENG 211, 215, 216, 220, 221, 225; HIS 103, 104, 105, 106, 190; HUM 150, 151; or PHI 125, 126, 180, 201.

    3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANT 101, 102; ECO 101, 102; GEG 105, 115, 125; HIS 180; HUM 181; POL 201, 202; SSC 101, 102, 140; or SOC 100, 101, 102, 201, 220.

    4. Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ART 120, 125, 126, 127, 217, 220; ENG 218; HIS 140; HUM 153, 154; MUS 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109; or SPE 108, 110.

    5. Science Electives - A minimum of eleven (11) credit hours is required to fulfill this requirement. A Psychology major should take BIO 110 or 103 and additional courses chosen from the following to total 11 credit hours: BIO 102, 104, 106, 111, 202; CHM 100, 105, 106; PHS 101, 103, 104; PHY 101, 102, 105.

  2. EQUIVALENCIES - Following is a list of courses that will transfer into the Psychology program at IIT and their direct equivalents at Morton College:
