PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current
IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.
- Basic
Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency
by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination
or by passing an English Composition course.
- Humanities
- Choose one course from the following: EGL 113, 115, 117, 129,
221, 222, 224, 225, 226, 230, 231, 232, 234, 235, 241, 242; HIS 111, 112,

- Science Electives for Computer Science majors - A minimum of
fourteen (14) credit hours is required to fulfill this requirement. At
least one natural science or engineering elective must be in a field other
than physics. A CS major should complete PHY 221 and additional courses
chosen from the following to total 14 credit hours: BIO 121, 122, 131,
132; CHEM 101, 105, 121, 122, 207; PHY 115, 222.
