  1. GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM - Please consult the General Education section of the current IIT Bulletin for complete requirements.

    1. Basic Writing Proficiency - Students must show basic writing proficiency by receiving a satisfactory score on the Writing Proficiency Examination or by passing an English Composition course at IIT.

    2. Humanities - Choose one course from the following: HST 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 244, 245, 280; HUM 111, 112, 113; LIT 139, 140, 141, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 150, 151, 241, 243, 244, 245, 251, 252, 260, 273; or PHL 150, 153, 154, 155, 256.

    3. Social Sciences - Choose one course from the following: ANP 102, 103; ECO 101, 105, 110, 111; GEO 130; PSC 160, 161, 269; PSY 170, 176, 225, 270, 271, 273, 275, 276; or SOC 190, 290, 291, 293, 294, 295, 296, 298, 299.

    4. Choose one course from section B or section C or from the following: ART 131, 141, 246, 251, 252, 253; ENG 204; HST 151, 152, 182, 183; HUM 115, 117, 120, 121, 210, 250; LIT 142; MUS 102, 104, 106, 121, 221, 222; or THE 133.
