Johnsee Lee (Ph.D. Ch.E. ’81)
founding president of the IIT Alumni Association Taiwan Chapter,
is vice president of the Industrial Technology Research Institute
and general director of Union Chemical Laboratories in Taiwan.
He chairs the Chinese Institute of Chemical Engineers and the
Polymer Society in Taiwan and is president-elect of the Federation
of Asian Chemical Societies. Awards and honors include 1995
National Chemical Medal from the Chinese Chemical Society and
the 1995 Award for Stratospheric Ozone Layer Protection from
the U.S. Environmental Protection Administration (EPA). In 1998
he received the IIT Alumni Association's International Award
of Merit.
