Curriculum Vitae
Research & Major Accomplishments
John DeSalvo has been practicing architecture since 1988. He spent a decade living in Germany, where he worked for some of the leading architects of the 20th century, including Norman Foster on the Reichstag project and Helmut Jahn in Berlin and Chicago.
John now resides in Chicago where he has his own architectural practice, John DeSalvo Design (JDD). His practice takes a comprehensive approach to integrating technology and sustainability in a way that results in great design. He has won several design awards and is a freehand illustrator for Norton Press Publications' architectural pocket guide series, which includes books on Chicago, Los Angeles and Miami.
John has been an adjunct professor at Illinois Institute of Technology since 2004. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate design studios.
