Studio Associate Professor John DeSalvo won the top honor award at the 2011 AIA Chicago Small Projects Awards for the Retreat House/Church Residence. The summer beach home in Michigan City, Indiana uses natural and local materials and features a metal exterior. DeSalvo's project was also featured in the June 2011 issue of Dwell Magazine.
