- Chandra Goldsmith Gray, landscape architect and professor, and architect Sarah Dunn of UrbanLab designed a plan to meet the contemporary needs of S.R. Crown Hall. The new landscaping, based on an original plan by Alfred Caldwell, has made the building more energy efficient through the strategic placement of native trees to help manage the positive and negative aspects of solar loss and gain.
