Research & Major Accomplishments
”The Use of Glass and Advanced Glazing Systems for Residential, Institutional, and Commercial Buildings” Invited Keynote presentation at the “International Conference for Design and Technology” 2010, at the Universidad Autonoma Metropoloitana, Mexico City-Xochimilco, October 18-22, 2010
“Modeling Structural Glass Components”, presentation at the annual Central User Conference of the SIMULIA Corporation in Chicago, September 28, 2010.
Stutzki Engineering is currently contracted by the Astrophysics Department of the University of Colorado to develop and optimize a 75 ft diameter primary mirror truss, manufactured out of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), for the Cornell-Caltech Atacama Telescope. The CCAT Project is an internationally highly ranked project, recommended to get priority funding due to its technically convincing concept (ASTRO2010, National Research Council)
