Banner Student launched June 23, 2008, replacing many Web for Student and Web for Faculty functions for registration, advising and more. The Banner Student features are all accessed through new myIIT portal channels under the Student Academics, Student Life and Faculty Teaching tabs. All technical support questions should be directed to the OTS Support Desk at supportdesk@iit.edu or 312.567.3375.

Banner Web continues to convert the dozens of IIT public websites for maintenance in the Luminis Content Management System (LCMS Site Studio). All requests for website-related troubleshooting, enhancements and LCMS access are now being managed through the OTS Support Desk ticket system.

FAMIS—Facilities Asset Management Information System—launched August 4, 2008.
All facilities service requests should be entered online through a new channel, located in the right-hand column under the Work Tab of myIIT. The new system is the central place staff should enter work orders for all office-related maintenance issues. You can also track the status of work orders through this system. . In Summer 2008...

Banner Student
The team is working to configure IIT's fsaAtlas system, which is expected to go live soon after the launch of Banner Student.

Reporting & Data Standards
The Reporting team and Data Standards team are currently rolling out Cognos—a business intelligence and reporting tool that will generate reports from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Operational Data Store (ODS). Cognos will make reporting simpler and faster by enabling users to model data from different sources in a single view.

Training
The training team continues to orient faculty, staff and students to the many new channels and systems, implemented as part of the Banner Project. Additionally, a regular monthly schedule of Banner navigation and finance training workshops has been created. Learn more about these workshops and register for a session.
