Center Staff
George Langlois, PhD., is the Director of the Center for Research and Service and the Leadership Academy at IIT. Prior to joining IIT on a full time basis, he spent 15 years on the Board of the College of Psychology, 10 years as the Vice Chair. Over the last 20 years, George has built and managed two nationally recognized consulting firms specializing in helping organizations strategically align all human resources, practices and processes toward achieving corporate objectives. His client engagements have included strategic planning, test validation, employee engagement surveys, action planning, change management, and executive assessment and coaching.
George’s consulting clients have included United Airlines, Dean Foods, the Tennessee Valley Authority, Capitol One, Bank of Montreal, Motorola, Kraft, Bridgestone-Firestone, universities and colleges, municipal governments, trade associations, food manufacturers, healthcare systems, and scientific equipment manufacturers.
Alan Mead, Ph.D., is Scientific Adviser to the Center for Research and Service, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Psychology. Alan received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois-Urbana in 2000 with a concentration on I/O psychology and a minor concentration on quantitative psychology. Prior to joining the faculty at IIT, he spent several years as a practitioner, including positions such as senior consultant, manager, research scientist, and psychometrician. Alan sits on a private research advisory panel and the editorial board for Journal of Business and Psychology. Alan has extensive experience developing and validating pre-employment assessments (personality, biodata, situational judgment tests, simulations), analyzing compensation and selection data, and performing job analyses.
Sander Marcus, Ph.D., is a Practice Leader for Career and Educational Assessment Services. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Professional Resume Writer with over 3 decades of experience in providing career counseling, aptitude testing, job search coaching, and resume writing to tens of thousands of individuals. He has also conducted pre-employment personnel evaluations for hundreds of companies. He is the co-author of 2 books on academic underachievement, various tests, and numerous articles. Dr. Marcus is the former Director of the Counseling Center at IIT, and was previously a partner in the career services consulting firm, Friedland and Marcus.
Anna Brown, B.A., is a Project Manager with the Center for Research and Service. Anna received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from University of Oklahoma, and is currently working towards a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. Anna’s experience includes survey development, result analysis and reporting for financial institutions. Anna is also a test coordinator for the Center's testing project with the Chicago Public Schools, in which thousands of young children are screened every year for Gifted and Enriched Academic Programs.
Kelly Levin, B.S., is an associate consultant with the Center for Research and Service. Kelly obtained her Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Indiana University and is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She has experience with thematic analysis and engagement surveys, and is currently serving as a test coordinator for the Chicago Public Schools’ Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools program. Her research interests include leadership, job stress, and team functioning.
Jonas Neuhengen, B.S., is an Associate Consultant with the Center for Research and Service. He completed a Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Portland State University with a minor in Mathematics, and has several years of experience as an IT professional, including computer programming and web development in a wide variety of languages. Jonas is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and is interested in statistical methodology, derivation of new data analysis techniques, and development/validation of computerized tests.
Stefanie Pugliese, B.A., is an Associate Consultant at the Center for Research and Service. Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology from New York University, and is currently working toward her Ph.D. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Stefanie's experience includes design, administration, and analysis of organizational surveys as well as item writing for pre-employment tests. She also recently served as a test coordinator for the Chicago Public Schools' Selective Enrollment Elementary Schools program. Stefanie's past experience includes selection and test development in the public sector. Her research areas of interest include work-life balance, personality, and leadership.
Rodney Vallejo, M.S., is an Associate Consultant at the Center for Research and Service. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science in Sport & Exercise Psychology from Barry University. Rodney is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His experience includes research on team cohesion and analysis of organizational assessments, engagement surveys, and open-ended content.
Jeremy Watson, M.S., M.A., LMFT,is a Project Manager at the Center for Research and Service. Jeremy obtained his B.S. in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. Jeremy’s clinical experience includes individual, group, couples, and family therapy with a diverse clientele of adolescents and adults. Jeremy’s I/O Psychology experiences include organizational surveys, item analysis, simulation development, validation of pre-employment testing, and assessment centers. He also teaches several undergraduate psychology courses in Developmental and Industrial Psychology.
Megan Wheeler, B.S., B.A., is an Associate Consultant at the Center for Research and Service. Megan obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the College of Charleston and is currently working toward a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Illinois Institute of Technology. Megan's experience includes organizational surveys and 360-degree feedback systems. Megan has had previous research experience in the areas of leadership and trust.
Sean Wright, B.S., is an Associate Consultant with the Center for Research and Service. Sean received his Bachelor of Science in psychology and sociology from Florida State University. He is currently working towards a Ph.D in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at IIT. He has experience conducting thematic analyses and designing, administrating, and analyzing organizational surveys.
