The Center helps clients implement valid and legally defensible selection and certification strategies to enhance individual performance, reduce turnover, and improve the bottom line. Selection strategies include:

    Validated Pre-employment Testing

    • Demonstrates the ability of tests to predict actual job performance and help assure legal defensibility
    • Can include custom test development or validation of off-the-shelf tests
    • Delivers comprehensive documentation of validity to conform to EEOC requirements

    Competency-based interviewing

    • Provides a behaviorally based selection interviewing process aligned with your organization's competencies
    • Includes development of questions and objective interpretation guidelines
    • Focuses on both core and job-specific competencies
    • Delivers a customized interview guide
    • Includes interviewer training and train-the-trainer options

    Individual Assessment

    • Enables in-depth assessment for selecting or promoting management-level candidates; tailored to the job and to the candidate
    • Incorporates a battery of tests/questionnaires and an in-depth, competency-based interview to assess cognitive ability, emotional intelligence, team skills, and leadership and management skills
    • Delivers a comprehensive report that outlines candidates' backgrounds, strengths, developmental needs, placement recommendations and developmental plans

    Assessment Centers

    • Enable a comprehensive assessment of leadership and management competencies often used for promotional decision making, succession planning, and leadership development
    • Utilize a series of exercises (e.g., in-basket, team problem solving, employee counseling) to simulate actual job requirements
    • Deliver in-depth reports on individuals and groups that indicate strengths, developmental needs, placement recommendations, and developmental recommendations
