    CISA Activities

    The Center for Innovation Science and Applications (CISA) is evolving the growth of the innovation field. Current activities involve:

    • Innovation Assessment – CISA offers assessor training and assessment using its Business Innovation Maturity Model (BIMMTM).

    • Research – Key research objectives include better understanding of intricacies of innovation including the role of neuroscience, collaborations, teaching methods, predictive measures, return on investment, institutionalization, leadership, play, imagination, and knowledge for making innovation an everyday pervasive, predictable and profitable industrial process.

    • Publications – CISA engineered the foundation of the quarterly International Journal of Innovation Science to support innovation research. Other publications include books and papers by Praveen Gupta.

    • Collaboration -CISA is a venue where industry and academia collaborate to advance innovation.

    • Educational Degree Programs – The degree programs of IIT School of Applied Technology (SAT) offer the “Innovation Factory” curriculum that engages its students in the learning process of becoming innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders. (link to http://www.iit.edu/cpd/)

    • Training and Certification – The School of Applied Technology offers corporate training, workshops, courses and examinations leading to a Certification in Innovation Sciences and Technology. SAT is first to offer competency in innovation and the Certified Business Innovator recognition.

    • Global Exchange of Ideas – CISA hosts the annual Business Innovation Conference and worldwide seminars.

    • Technology Transfer – CISA faculty work with IIT School of Applied Technology students and our corporate sponsors prototype innovative ideas produced by these collaborations. The Knapp Center and University Technology Park at IIT provide additional technology transfer support.
