Towards the end of spring semester to honor students' achievements at IIT, all graduating students are invited to the Graduate Salute on either April 28 or April 29, 2014 in the Ballroom of Hermann Hall from noon–7 p.m. Students need to attend Graduate Salute on one day only, not both.
Graduate Salute is the first step to make Commencement day as stress-free as possible by getting a head start on Commencement activities.
• Pick up regalia (cap and gown) for Commencement, as well as your guest tickets. Please bring your student ID or valid photo ID in order to receive your items. You can claim regalia and tickets for yourself only.
• Place an order for your personalized graduation announcements, class ring, and other Commencement memorabilia. Orders can also be made online by going to www.balfour.com. Balfour has a variety of packages.
• Have an individual portrait taken in your cap and gown by Grad Images with absolutely no obligation to purchase.
• No RSVP is required for the Graduate Salute.
If you are unable to attend Graduate Salute on Monday, April 28 or Tuesday, April 29, you can pick up your regalia and guest tickets on the morning of Commencement, May 17, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. at IIT's Main Campus (specific location to be determined at a later date during the spring semester). Tickets only may also be picked up between Graduate Salute and Commencement by contacting your Academic Unit Planner. Please be sure to check your IIT email account for instructions. IIT will not be able to ship regalia or guest tickets to graduating students in advance of the ceremony.
