Location and Hours
The Student Counseling Services is located in the IIT Tower at 10 West 35th Street, third floor on the main campus. We are open every day Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
The downtown campus Student Counseling Services office is located in the Stuart School of Business. The address is 565 West Adams Street in Room 656, on the sixth floor of the building. Please call our main number for appointments.
All initial appointments are scheduled on the Main Campus
Please note that Student Counseling Services has limited availability for appointments on the downtown campus. If we are unable to accommodate you on the downtown campus, we would be happy to serve you on the main campus.
Eligibilty

All undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled and registered for classes are eligible for services at Student Counseling.

Spouses and partners of IIT students who are not themselves enrolled in IIT are not eligible to receive clinical services at Student Counseling.

Members of the IIT Student Health Insurance Plan, who wish to use their outpatient mental health benefits to see a practitioner outside of IIT, may do so without prior approval or evaluation from Student Counseling Services.

You can make an appointment to request counseling services via the phone. The administrative assistant will ask you for some basic information and will usually be able to schedule an appointment for you within a week. For an urgent problem, you can call or stop by our office for your appointment to be worked into the schedule as soon as possible.
