The Industrial Technology and Management Program (INTM) at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) offers "hybrid" degrees that combine coverage of state-of the-art technologies with world-class management approaches. Both the Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM) and the Master of Industrial Technology and Operations (MITO) are intended to prepare students for management and staff careers in industry.
Success in industry requires a broad flexible knowledge base that can be applied to provide practical solutions to complex situations. INTM's faculty members have an average of 15 years of teaching experience and 30 years of industrial experience, bringing first-person perspectives to the classroom.Students are encouraged to pursue courses that best satisfy their career interests and objectives. INTM offers five specializations (list below), and a range of technical electives including entrepreneurship and energy topics:
* Industrial Facilities (IF)
* Industrial Sustainability (ST)
* Manufacturing Technology (MT)
* Supply Chain Management (SCM)
* Telecommunication Technology (TT)
INTM courses generally meet one night a week to suit the schedules of working adults. Classes meet at IIT's Main Campus in Chicago, the Rice Campus in Wheaton, and via the internet for students located elsewhere in the world.
