NetSecure08 A Huge Success
IIT's Center for Professional Development in partnership with the IEEE and UniForum Chicago, hosted NetSecure08: The 6th Annual Systems and Network Security and Digital Forensics Conference and Expo. The conference brought together knowledgeable practitioners and responsible executives from organizations such as computer and network technology providers and manufacturers, digital forensics practitioners, scientific laboratories, law enforcement, healthcare, and legal organizations to discuss and share their security needs, problems, technologies, security systems, plans, and much more. Subject matter experts offered presentations, technical sessions, tutorials, and panel discussions.NetSecure08 sponsors included Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, W.W. Grainger and more than 20 other organizations. Approximately 200 people attended from 85 organizations.
IIT students presented their security projects at NetSecure08. According to Alva Todd Professor and Conference Chairperson, Bill Lidinsky, “The presentations were a great way for IIT students to showcase their talent. Their projects were very well received and opened some great dialogue.” Presentations included:
