    Application Development for Mobile Device
    About this Course

    This course will focus on mobile application development. Participants will create mobile applications on multiple platforms and will be able to discuss and evaluate differences in the platform environments. The along with introductions to all the platforms projects will focus on web service and web API consumption. Participants will build the same projects multiple times on different mobile platforms.

    Course Objectives

    Upon completion, participants should be able to:

    • Illustrate and identify good programming practices in specific mobil platforms
    • Practice development cycle and project management skills, using iterative design
    • Differentiate implementations of web API's on mobile platforms
    • Understand current mobile platforms and make informed choices in design specifications

    About this course

    An examination of the concepts involved in the facets of Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Students will learn how to configure, manipulate, and develop Business Intelligence applications using products designed around SharePoint 2010 and leverage the necessary client tools. Students will utilize Visual Studio 2010 with C#, Microsoft InfoPath Designer 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, and other development tools to build custom solutions. Analysis of out of the box functionality and extension of standard capabilities will be used throughout the course. Standards based design and development methodologies will be utilized during all application development projects and lifecycles. With the nearing launch of SharePoint 2013, we will have somewhat of a fluid set of objectives. We will have some exposure to SharePoint 2013 Beta as well

    • Understand fundamental knowledge of what SharePoint is, how it can be used, how it should be used
    • Understand the techniques for working with Out of the Box (OOTB) implementations as well as designing and maintain custom components
    • Know the development lifecycle of projects that are created maintained in the industry
