    About this Course:
    This course introduces the participants to the fundamental principles of operating systems design, and gives them hands-on experience with real operating systems installation, design and implementation.  Participants apply what they learned about operation systems design to practical implementation, by modifying and extending the MINIX Operating System; Microsoft Windows and LINUX are briefly discussed as case studies.

    Prerequisites:
    Basic involvement in the development of non-trivial software systems is helpful.
