Master Certificate in IT Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
About this Course:
The Master Certificate in IT Leadership, Innovation & Entrepreneurship is awarded to those participants who have completed both the Project Management for IT Professionals and Entrepreneurship for IT Professionals programs in addition to at least one of the six elective courses listed below of the Information Technology Certificate Programs offered through the School of Applied Technology of Illinois Institute of Technology. Those interested in pursuing this award must complete these three certificate programs. Most often these programs can be successfully completed in one year or less.
Participants who wish to pursue this Master Certificate would be best served by working with a program manager of the Information Technology Certificate Programs for guidance. Some programs may be taken simultaneously and some may require prerequisites. Allowing the program manager to assist in planning the sequence of classes would ensure a successful and enjoyable experience as participants reach their goals.

Course Details:
This program is designed for students seeking knowledge that will prepare them to be leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of information technology. The two required certificate programs must include (not necessarily in the following order):
IT 471 Project Management for IT Professionals - a 16 week program that details basic principles of project management. Includes software development concepts of requirements analysis, object modeling and design and software testing. Management of application development and major Web development projects will also be addressed.
IT 581 Entrepreneurship for IT Professionals - a 16 week program that prepares participants to become leaders in information technology and to build IT enterprises. Participants design and develop a prototype IT product and prepare a business plan and venture proposal presentation.
The third certificate program should be chosen as an elective from the following courses below:
