The Professional Learning Programs of the Center for Professional Development (CPD) of Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) offers the professional learner many opportunities for online learning to continue their education. Many IT Certificate Programs may be taken completely online or any combination of live and online throughout these semester long programs. These online courses require only a PC with standard peripherals and free software. Participants can access courses anywhere in the world.
Live course sessions are made available over the Internet within 24-48 hours of course presentation. All of this is supported through IIT's Blackboard Learning System. View the IT Certificate Program schedule for the next term to find those courses listed as "Online."
The Professional Engineering (PE-EI) Review is now available completely online. Or just take a few individual sessions of the Professional Engineering Review either live or completely online or any combination of the two! Like the IT Certificate Programs, IIT's online department makes these sessions on the Internet within 24-48 hours of the live presentation. Login through IIT's Blackboard Learning System, view the videos, and participate in the discussion boards!

The Professional Learning in Education (PLED) programs offered in cooperation between the Center for Professional Development and the Department of Mathematics and Science Education of Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) are professional development courses specifically focused on certified K-12 teachers of mathematics and science looking for quality professional development opportunities. These courses, some offered live and some online, give specific attention to curriculum development, evaluation, advanced instructional models, supervision, learning and cognition, and action research while providing enrichment in the content areas as well.
