Deborah Kimnach

Deborah Kimnach cites the small class sizes and practical experience of instructors in the Information Technology & Management (ITM) program when reflecting on her success at IIT. While still an undergraduate in ITM, Kimnach was project manager for an award-winning Interprofessional Project, was invited to present at the 2006 Network Security and Digital Forensics Conference (NetSecure) and became teaching assistant and manager of the Security and Forensic Computer (ForSec) Lab at Rice Campus. Since taking this position, Kimnach has completed her bachelor's in ITM, started the master's program, organized the 2007 NetSecure Conference at Rice Campus, and managed improvements in the ForSec Lab. These improvements are already showing dividends, attracting the attention of at least one digital forensics company, whose training classes the lab is now hosting.
