Kilpatrick Fellowship
The BCPS department invites full-time graduate students in chemistry to apply for the Kilpatrick Fellowship. The fellowship provides an annual support of a maximum of 18 credit hours of tuition and $18000 stipend. The fellowship is for one year, and the awardee can re-apply for the following year. A final report is required at the end of the year, given as a presentation in the Chemistry Colloquium.
This fellowship is made possible through a generous donation from the Kilpatrick Trust to honor Martin and Mary Kilpatrick, who were both prestigious professors of chemistry at IIT in 1947 – 1960.
Eligibility:
Graduate students currently enrolled in a doctoral program in chemistry are eligible to apply. The student must have passed the written qualifying exam at the Ph.D level, completed at least four core courses with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and must be nominated by a chemistry faculty member.
Review Criteria:
Academic achievements, research achievements, and research potential.
