BCPS Professional Science Master's Programs
Master of Analytical Chemistry
This degree program provides students with a solid foundation in separation techniques, spectroscopy, analytical method development, and physical methods of characterization. The science master's is enhanced by the incorporation of professional courses such as communicating science, statistics for analytical chemists, industrial leadership and business principles.For your convenience, courses are offered online and lectures can be viewed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students may start the program in August, January or June. The program is designed to be completed in 2.5 years of part time study, no thesis required. The entire program can be completed online except for one visit to IIT's Main Campus to take the oral comprehensive exam.
Students must successfully complete a minimum of 32 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and pass a final comprehensive exam towards the end of the program.
Admission Requirements
A bachelor's degree in chemistry with a GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 from an accredited U.S. educational institution is required for domestic students. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required for International students, those with an undergraduate GPA between 2.5 and 3.0, or at the request of the admissions committee.
