- FACULTY POSITION IN ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
The Chemistry Division of the Department of Biological, Chemical and Physical Sciences at IIT anticipates – subject to approval - an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in Fall 2009 in the area of Organic Chemistry, with a preferred emphasis on synthesis. The applicant should have a PhD in Chemistry with at least one year of postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate is expected to develop an externally supported research program and demonstrate excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. There are outstanding opportunities and facilities on campus, within this department and at IIT Research Institute, to launch cutting edge interdisciplinary collaborative research, e.g., in developing new drugs and evaluating their efficacy.
