2007 Computer Science Teacher of the Year
Prof. Nazli Goharian was named the 2007 Computer Science Teacher of the Year at the department holiday party. Despite the fact that she has won this award previously, Nazli's excellence in teaching again shone forth this year. In addition to her very high teaching evaluations, the Awards Committee noted that her course materials on Information Retrieval have been adopted at other institutions and have received rave reviews. In addition, her research advising helped one of her doctoral students to win last year's Sigma Xi's Graduate Student Research Award. (Dec 10, 2007)posted:
