    Certificate in Ethics in the Workplace

    This certificate provides an understanding of ethical issues in the workplace, along with analytical skills for dealing responsibly with such issues and an understanding of professional responsibilities vis-à-vis the larger society.

    Requirements

    9 credits (3 courses) selected from the following courses (maximum 3 cr. of PHIL 597 may be taken):

    PHIL 551 Science and Values
    PHIL 560 Ethics
    PHIL 570 Engineering Ethics
    PHIL 571 Ethics in Architecture
    PHIL 573 Business Ethics
    PHIL 574 Ethics in Computer Science
    COM 577 Communication Law and Ethics
    PHIL 597 Special Problems: Philosophy

    Application and Admission

    IIT requires a bachelor's degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for admission as a certificate student.

    Any applicant whose undergraduate degree was earned at an institution where the primary language of instruction is not English must submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores. Read complete English proficiency requirements, including minumum scores required for admission consideration.
