IIT Science Educators Present at the Association for Middle Level Education Conference
IIT's Mathematics and Science Education department was represented at the 39th Annual Association of Middle Level Education Conference. The 2012 Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) International Conference, "Go to Grow," was held November 8-12 in Portland, Ore. The Association for Middle Level Education is dedicated to improving the educational experiences of all students ages 10–15 by providing vision, knowledge, and resources to educators and leaders. AMLE has been a voice for those committed to the educational and developmental needs of young adolescents. With more than 30,000 members across the United States, Canada, and 46 other countries, AMLE welcomes and provides support to anyone interested in the health and education of young adolescents.
The MSED team, Professor Norman Lederman, Associate Professor Judith Lederman, and Selina Bartels, Ph.D. candidate, presented the workshop "Authentic Scientific Inquiry—Make It Happen."
