Middle Grades Physical Science Endorsements
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR A LIMITED NUMBER OF SPACES: Late Summer or Fall 2008
Illinois Institute of Technology is recruiting candidates for a unique Master of Science Education degree and endorsement program. This program is designed for teachers currently holding a K-8 certificate who need to gain expertise in middle grades science. Students completing the program will qualify for endorsement in middle school physical science.
We are accepting applications for late summer and fall 2008. Innovative features of the program include:
- Greatly reduced tuition in 12 graduate-level courses that fulfill all requirements for a Master Degree in Science Education and
- Afternoon and evening classes in summer
- Evening classes during the school year
- Ongoing interaction with a cohort of science teachers
- Two years of intensive course work followed by continued support and cohort involvement during the third year.
- Ongoing experience with cutting edge scientific research
- IIT subsidies will limit out-of-pocket expenses for teachers to approximately $300 per course
