Jo Mackiewicz Voted Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication
On September 30, 2007, Assistant Professor Jo Mackiewicz was voted in as Editor in Chief of IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication by the Administrative Committee of the IEEE Professional Communication Society.
Transactions on Professional Communication is one of the premier journals in professional and technical communication. The journal's readers are engineers, scientists, writers, information designers, managers, and others working as scholars, educators, and practitioners who share an interest in the effective communication of technical and business information.
The research published in the journal falls into two major categories: (1) Communication practices of technical professionals (whether oral or written, print or electronic, visual or aural, etc.) and (2) Practices of communication professionals working in technical or business environments (e.g., methods of evaluating document quality, influence of information arrangement on persuasiveness, etc.).
Mackiewicz's work as Editor in Chief started officially on January 1, 2008.
