Ethics

Supply personnel must exercise sound business judgment and maintain a high ethical and moral standards in their business and personal conduct. Therefore, supply personnel must avoid any conflict of interest or other behavior that might mar PPG's reputation for integrity.
By observing absolute honesty in all transactions and correspondence, respecting supplier companies' confidences, and avoiding compromising obligations to supplier companies or representatives. Supply personnel can advance PPG's good name.
Employees shall not solicit or accept significant gifts, expensive entertainment or loans from suppliers. There is no objection, however, to the acceptance of items of an advertising nature, or an occasional lunch or diner that serves a business program.
Since employment with PPG involves a relationship of trust and loyalty, it is essential that employees be free from any influence, which might interfere with the proper an efficient discharge of their duties or be inconsistent with their obligations or loyalty to the company. The company recognized the rights of employees to conduct their personal affairs and investments, provided the company or its interests are not adversely affected.
Compliance with the company's policy statement on Conflict of Interest as adopted by the board of Directors is mandatory.
All supply personnel are responsible for strict adherence to this policy. When the correct course of action is not clear, it is the individual employee's responsibility to seek guidance from local management or Supply Policy and Planning.
