Grant Park Music Festival--free classical concerts summer-long in downtown Grant Park. Bring along blankets and food & drinks!
Ravinia Music Festival--similar outdoor concerts, except the festival is bigger, it is in the suburbs, and tickets cost $10 (lawn seats) up to $35 (pavilion seats). Ravinia hosts many big-name performers.
Architecture Boat Cruise--sponsored by the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Great views of the city, sailing along the Chicago River.
Prairie Avenue Homes--exploring urban life and design in the Prairie Avenue Historic District.
