International Affairs

Illinois Institute of Technology's Office of International Affairs (OIA) was established in 1995 to extend IIT's mission of teaching and research through global activities and alliances.

Vice President Darsh Wasan and his staff help coordinate and advance the university's wide-ranging international activities and services. OIA develops new international initiatives to facilitate the recruitment of a diverse student body, internationalize the curricula, expand distance learning, encourage study abroad, and foster international exchange and collaboration.

OIA also builds relationships with individuals and institutions, and works with the alumni office to establish international alumni chapters that link alumni with each other and build a global IIT community.
