CAEE's newest faculty member, Dr. Cindy Menches' interview by ABC News.
Shortly after joining CAEE in January, Construction Management Assistant Professor, Dr. Cindy Menches, was on hand for an interview by ABC News regarding the abandoned construction site at Clark and Wacker. This project was abandoned in 2008 when the developer ran out of money, and the bank foreclosed on the property. The crane atop the structure causes concerns for safety, especially since cracks have been found in its concrete support slabs. There is also the risk of rust and other deterioration to the construction materials that have been left exposed to the elements.
