Construction Engineering and ManagementThe Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at all ranks in the area of construction engineering and management. Senior rank candidates are expected to bring in an externally funded research program upon arrival.
The applicants should have a strong background in construction engineering and management applicable to infrastructure projects, including but not limited to transportation. Possible areas of expertise include but are not limited to legal issues in construction, lean construction, real estate development and management, building information modeling, transportation construction, and maintenance management and preservation. The applicants must hold an earned doctorate in civil engineering with specialization in construction engineering and management or a closely related area.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
(1) Sustain an externally well funded research program
(2) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
(3) Develop synergies with other IIT research programs and other organizations outside IIT
(4) Provide service to the university and the profession
(5) Be a licensed professional engineer or be able to become licensed within 4 years.

The CAEE department at IIT offers ABET accredited BS degrees in civil and in architectural engineering as well as graduate degrees in civil, architectural, and environmental engineering.
