ChBE is pleased to invite alumni, students and friends to the 2009 Darsh T. Wasan Lecture, presented Wednesday, September 30 at 4 p.m. in the Perlstein Hall Auditorium. Norman N. Li, member of the National Academy of Engineering and president of NL Chemical Technology, Inc., will present “Membrane Technology for a Thirsty Century – from an Industrial Perspective of Energy, Sustainability, and Globalization” during the event.

2009 Peck Lecture and Distinguished Alumni Awards

ChBE is delighted to announce Jefferson W. Tester, H. P. David Croll Professor of Sustainable Energy Systems in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University, Director of the Energy Institute in the College of Engineering and Associate Director of the Cornell Center for a Sustainable Future, as the 2009 Peck Lecturer. Tester will deliver his lecture, titled "Achieving Sustainable Energy: Connecting goals to research across scales and disciplines," at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 24 in the Perlstein Hall Auditorium. 3rd Annual ChBE Alumni Dinner

ChBE is please to invite alumni to attend the 3rd Annual Alumni Dinner, organized by the AIChE IIT Student Chapter, immediately following the 2009 Peck Lecture and Distinguished Alumni Awards. The event is the ideal opportunity for alumni to reconnect with old friends, network with other chemical engineering professionals, mingle with faculty and meet current students, all while learning about the most recent achievements of the department. This year's dinner will also honor the accomplishments of the 2009 recipient of Charles W. Pierce Distinguished Alumni Award.
ChBE Alumni Reception at the 2008 AIChE Annual Meeting

ChBE was pleased to welcome alumni from all around the globe to its alumni reception at the AIChE Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. The event provided alumni with the opportunity to mingle with fellow ChBE graduates, students and faculty. It also featured department and university updates from ChBE Acting Chair Jai Prakash and IIT President John L. Anderson.
