    Research

    Alireza Khaligh joined Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in June 2007. He was a post doctoral research associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign prior to joining IIT. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees with highest distinction from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and Ph.D. degree from IIT, all in electrical engineering. He is the author/coauthor of more than 30 papers, books, and invention disclosures. His research interests include power electronics and energy systems, biomechanical energy scavenging, vehicular electrical/electronics systems, and design of energy-efficient power supplies for battery-powered portable applications. Dr. Khaligh is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
