    Research

    Dr. Mahesh Krishnamurthy joined Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in August 2008. He received his Ph.D. from University of Texas- Arlington and his M.S. degrees from the University of Missouri- Rolla, all in electrical engineering. Before joining IIT, he worked as a Senior Design Engineer at EF technologies in Arlington, Texas. Krishnamurthy has over published over 20 refereed journal papers and conference articles. He holds one U.S. patent with several others pending. His research interests include the development of modern control/ hardware for renewable energy systems; application of power electronics and motor drives towards electric and hybrid vehicular applications; design, control & analysis of adjustable speed electronic drive systems, fault detection & just-in-time maintenance in adjustable speed drives and numerical analysis of energy conversion in electromechanical devices.
