The award is named for an extraordinary woman who served as the librarian of Armour Mission and as the first registrar of Armour Institute. Beveridge was widely recognized for her contributions to the Armour Mission and for strong leadership. The annual presentation of this award is intended to recognize the importance of such commitment to our university and community to evoke the memory of all that Mrs. Beveridge exemplified as a teacher, administrator, and human being.
