About
Welcome. Illinois Institute of Technology’s Finance area is overseen by the Vice President for Finance and Administration. This area includes the Controller’s Office and Office of Institutional Information as well as managing the treasury, banking relationships, and budget and planning process.
The Controller’s Office executes the accounting functions of the university including general accounting, grant accounting, bursar’s office, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and gift/endowment accounting.
The Office of Institutional Information (OII) collects and provides a variety of university information and data for institutional planning and assessment. In addition, OII coordinates the university's reporting to federal and state agencies, responds to requests for information from within and outside the university, and maintains a web site for profile data about IIT.
The Budget and Planning function continues to evolve. During 2008 and 2009 the University is moving to a full cost allocation method called Responsibility Center Management. As of summer 2009, the budget process is under formal review and additional information will be made available as the updated process is approved.
IIT’s commitment to excellence as an institution extends to all aspects of our educational and research undertakings. As stewards of IIT’s finances, assets and resources, faculty and staff must be diligent to conduct their work consistent with the highest of ethical standards. To that end, IIT provides faculty and staff with the information needed to act appropriately, as stated in the IIT Standards of Ethics and Business Conduct.
