Patricia Laughlin
Patricia Laughlin brings a wealth of experience in university budget and finance, having served as associate dean for administration at Carnegie Mellon College of Engineering for 21 years. In this capacity she strengthened the relationship between fiscal and academic policy, integrating strategic planning with fiscal decisions and providing resources for investment in improvements and new initiatives, including new departments, centers, institutes, international programs, and project management of physical plant renovations and new construction.
Laughlin holds a Ph.D. in administration and policy studies from the School of Education, and a masters degree in public administration, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
She serves as treasurer, Finance Committee chair, and board member of MentorNet, The E-Mentoring Network for Diversity in Engineering and Science, and is a member of the board of Carnegie Mellon University Federal Credit Union.
