Fixed Assets

Fixed Assets staff are responsible for the stewardship of the university’s Property, Plant, and Equipment.  The stewardship includes account reconciliations, capital budget monitoring, reporting and capitalization.

Fixed Assets responsibilities include the following:

• Capitalization of equipment, land improvements and building improvements
• Reconciliation of property, plant and equipment
• Depreciation
• Capital Budget – new funds, budget transfers and capitalization
• Annual inventory of equipment
• Capital budget reports.
