    What to Give

Unrestricted gifts: Unrestricted gifts are the lifeblood of the university. They touch every element of IIT and allow the university to run smoothly and effectively. These gifts give IIT the flexibility to address urgent needs and opportunities and provide funding where and when it is needed most.

Scholarships: Gifts to support scholarships at IIT help students who require financial assistance to complete their studies.

Laboratories and classrooms: Gifts supporting laboratories and classrooms help to update, renovate and build learning environments that enhance the educational experience for IIT students.

Academic programs: Gifts that support academic programs assist IIT with groundbreaking faculty research, new and existing programs and can help to bring and maintain the best faculty in the world through endowing chairs and professorships.

Special projects:  IIT's special projects are ongoing and emerging initiatives that provide for enhanced student, faculty and staff resources; a better student experience; and campus improvement. Some examples include IIT's successful IPRO experience for students and the renovation of the historic Main Building.
