In celebration of 123rd birthday of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, local fashion designers were paired with area architecture firms to create outfits inspired by signature buildings. At the party, models showed off the designs and creations we sold via silent auction to raise funds for the Carr Memorial Chapel restoration fund.

The Mies Society and the Glessner House Museum offered guests a chance to learn more about the city with a tour of three centuries of Chicago South Side architecture.

More than 1,300 people from around the world visited S.R. Crown Hall this summer to see Crombie Taylor, Aaron Siskind and the Adler and Sullivan Project, curated by John Vinci, ARCH '60 and Jeffrey Plank.
