The Graduate College at IIT is responsible for facilitating the evaluation and publication of graduate studies policy, monitoring and reporting the approval of new and revised graduate programs, evaluating graduate academic petitions and academic honesty, and conducting final thesis examinations.
The Office of Graduate Academic Affairs is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of graduate academic policies, the completion of academic standing reviews, degree audits and degree conferrals, communication with and counseling of graduate students, and the identification of campus resources, as appropriate to graduate student needs.
The division of academic affairs, including Graduate Academic Affairs and Undergraduate Affairs, falls under the leadership of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Dr. Christopher White. As vice provost, Professor White is also responsible for the Academic Resource Center (ARC), Office of Undergraduate Research, the Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program, the Idea Shop, Assessment and Accreditation, and student academic affairs in general. The services provided by the offices overseen by Dr. White enhance the educational experience of both graduate and undergraduate students.
