Fund Searching Workshop

    What: Free Fund Seeking Workshop. Whether your field is science, humanities, technology, or law... one certainty is this: To be most efficient and effective at securing research funds, it is critical to be aware of the latest funding opportunities useful to your program.

    Where: IIT's Galvin Library Learning Center (LLC), Main Campus

    Who: This workshop is intended for IIT faculty and researchers.

    Why: Learn how to search for funds at this workshop for IIT faculty and researchers. You will use an individual computer to learn how to:

        * Search for funding opportunities for your research, using a powerful, paid subscription service provided to all IIT researchers by the Graduate College;

        * Set up automatic weekly funding alerts tailored to your interests;

        * Search a database that will help you find collaborators at Chicagoland universities;

        * Employ techniques that maximize the number of useful search results.

The room accommodates 20 participants; walk-ins are welcome as space permits. There is no charge for this workshop, which is provided as a service of the IIT Graduate College.
