A Greek organization is a group of individuals of similar interests bonded together for life by common goals and aspirations. Greek organization names always consist of Greek letters. These letters can also serve as a reminder of the values of the group. Fraternity is a name that applies to Greek men's organizations. Sorority is the name given to Greek women's organizations
Many Greek organizations have rituals, which through every member's participation, helps strengthen the bonds. Rituals are based on common principles such as honor, friendship, truth and knowledge.
Fraternities and sororities have been a part college campuses since the late 18th century. Greek organizations have been on campus at IIT for more than 100 years.
