Summer Room and Board Options
The deadline to register for 2012 Summer Housing has passed.
Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) invites students enrolled in summer school to experience the convenience of living on campus during the 2012 summer session. Learn more about new summer sessions at IIT and register online.
Sign up for summer session housing between April 9 and May 1, 2012.
2012 summer session housing is offered in State Street Village (Middle Pavilion). Students are able to reserve a semi-suite unit. Double as Single or single options are not available. Residents selecting options B or C will be required to move off campus prior to moving into summer housing. Select a summer housing plan that best fits your needs. On campus storage for personal items is not available.

IIT Dining is pleased to offer a wide variety of meal plans for students living in campus housing. A meal plan is required for all residents in campus housing for summer session 2012.
Meal service is not provided from Saturday, May 6 to Sunday, May 20. Meal service will also be limited in August. Information about August dining will be provided as the information becomes available. Residents will not be charged for a meal plan during this time. Bonus points will expire at the close of the residents summer room contract.

To qualify for summer housing, residents must meet one of the following requirements:
1) registered in a minimum of one summer course at IIT, VCM or Shimer College;
2) registered as a full time student for fall courses at IIT, VCM or Shimer College (registered summer students will receive priority if housing becomes full)
Residence and Greek Life will specify a 2 day window in which students may move from Spring room assignments to Summer room assignments and Summer assignments to Fall assignments. Students must be available to move as assigned.
All room and board charges will be applied to residents’ student accounts (Shimer and Vandercook students will be billed directly by Shimer College and Vandercook respectively).
Students who have not completed a housing contract for the following fall semester, will be required to leave at the close of the summer session term (August 12, 2012).
If students are living on campus during the Fall semester, they will be given a time to relocate prior to the start of the next term (likely August 1-12, 2012).
Residence and Greek Life does not require a prepayment for summer session housing.
